Cedar materials were used throughout this complete deck. The stair angles can help with the transition from the upper to the lower area and avoid the “pallet” look that you can wind up with in the smaller deck.

This backyard project started with a ground level deck and was then turned into a hot tub semi private spa spot. We installed plumbing and lighting for covered Jacuzzi and service bar area. Uncovered deck areas also include custom lighting and seating/storage built for comfort and functionality.

The front porch project shown here is composed of cedar which is usually used on rear decks. The customer wanted a more natural look and the cedar if untreated grays up rather quickly.

This rooftop deck incorporates many deck options including open seat benches, closed storage benches, corner planter boxes and privacy lattice blocking a not so flattering view across the alley. We also built the wider stadium stairs which the owners use as additional seating at larger parties.

This began as a deck and a was fashioned to have removable walls. The deck became the family’s Sukkah, used for meals under a semi open roof.

This bathroom needed some updating. We demoed this bathroom and by getting rid of the old Jacuzzi tube that wasn’t be used, 4×4 tiles, and funky window curtain made a big difference. This room now has classic white sub-way tile, a shower system with rain shower, custom storage cabinets and dark wood flooring really brought this bathroom together.

Here is an example of a roof top deck Samanco built. On the left wall there is a custom hanging flower box and in the corner another custom planter box as requested by the customer. Also the bench seating we installed doubles as a storage compartment, the tops of the bench are hinged and fold up to allow convenient access.

Rain or shine this custom backyard deck is ready for use. The all pressure treated pergola was built with a clear polyurethane roof to keep everything dry in any weather conditions and still allow in full natural light and sky view. Exterior curtains were added and can be swept open or closed foe weather and bug protection. Electric was run for lighting and ceiling fan to insure an on demand breeze was available with a flip of the remote control button. Fun furniture and canvas hammock chair finished off this relaxing Chicago at home getaway.

This rooftop project was built using two color coordinated styles of Trex composite decking. The all maintenance free materials were used for decking, storage benches and hiding necessary roof essentials. We added a remote control gas fireplace, custom sound system and both low and high voltage lighting to complete this relaxing retreat.
